Gaz has three EFL betting tips this week which amount to a very tempting 14/1 treble
Charlton v Reading
Sat 21st Oct 15:00
In a very tough week for betting in the EFL this game looks like a bit of a gimmie. Both of these sides are yet to win a match on the road but Charlton have looked a decent side when playing at The Valley. The Addicks are averaging 2.14 goals scored per home match and if they can replicate that on Saturday it should be a comfortable home win.
Reading are really struggling for goals, netting just 9 in their 11 league matches this season. In their six away games they’ve scored just 4 but conceded 13. With that in mind it’s no wonder they’re pointless away from the Madejksi Stadium. At 4/5 I’m banking on a Charlton victory in this one.
Sutton United v Morecambe
Sat 21st Oct 15:00
Sutton are rooted to the bottom of League Two so it might seem odd that I fancy them in this game. Similar to Charlton above there’s a clear contrast between their home and away form and I don’t think that should be underestimated. United have been brutal on the road, particularly defensively conceding 21 goals in just 6 matches, an average of 3.5 goals conceded per away game. That stat completely changes at the Borough Sports Ground where they average just 1.2 goals conceded.
Morecambe are a solid side and it’s hard to pick holes in their recent form considering they’re unbeaten in their last 4 matches (W2, D2,L0). With that in mind this bet is very much a gut feel. Sutton will be desperate for a win to avoid being cut adrift at the bottom and at 29/20 there’s just enough juice to tempt me.
Bradford v Wrexham
Sat 21st Oct 15:00
Bradford have won all three of their games since the sacking of Mark Hughes and they’re very much on the up now. The Bantams are just 3 points outside the playoff spots and could even mount a title challenge given the season is still in its infancy.
Wrexham continue to be the divisions entertainers. The thirteen matches featuring the Welsh side have contained a whopping 52 goals, an average of 4 per game. They’ve bullied teams at the Racecourse Ground but in their away matches they’ve looked pretty suspect. Although The Dragons have a wealth of attacking options they’ve netted just 4 times on the road. Three of their six away matches have ended in draws and that’s the angle I’m going with here. The Draw is priced at 12/5 which is great value in my opinion.
