Ligue 1 Tips: In form strikers to the fore in this weeks 14/1 treble

A couple of goalscorer bets feature in Dermot’s 14/1 treble this week

Game week 30 ends with the meeting on Ligue 1 titans PSG and Lyon. After the Parisians qualification for the UCL semi finals, it might be a good time for a resurgent Lyon to visit the Parc des Princes. Elsewhere, Nantes host in Rennes in a Breton Derby with arguably the most intriguing game of the weekend being Brest Vs Monaco. It will be a clash of 2nd Vs 3rd with big implications for 4th placed Lille depending ont the result.

Lens Vs Clermont Prediction

Sat Apr 20th 20:00

This will be one of the more open games in Ligue 1 this weekend. Lens play all out attack when at home and Clermont would also play that way even if they were playing the 1982 Brazil team. If the visitors can get on the scoresheet this should be a foregone conclusion. Franck Haise side will be desperate for the win having only taken 2pts from the last 12. Les Lanciers will be even more desperate as return to Ligue 2 is immenent if they can’t get a run going soon. Draws against Toulouse and PSG proves that there is still some fight in them even if the quality isn’t.

Lens to win and Over 2.5 goals @ 11/10

Le Havre Vs Metz Prediction

Sun Apr 21st 14:00

Had Georgian striker Georges Mikautadze not left for Ajax in the summer, Les Grenats could arguably be a mid-table side at the minute. The marksman is easily the clubs topscorer after being loaned back in January with 9 goals in 15 goals. The next best is left back Matthieu Udol with 3 goals (in 27 games). He should get plenty of opportunities against a Le Havre side that’s lost 7 of its last 10 Ligue 1 games.

Georges Mikautadze to score at anytime @ 5/2

Lille Vs Strasbourg Prediction

Sun Apr 21st 14:00

Lille were eliminated on penalties by Aston Villa in the Europa Conference League quarter finals on Thursday night. Paulo Fonseca will have a tough job motivating a tired side but the prospect of potentially playing in Europes 1st tier competition rather than 3rd tier should be enough. When Lille score, it’s generally Canadian striker Jonathan David finding the net. He has 10 in the last 10 Ligue 1 games. Amazingly, of his 16 league goals this season, 12 have been first goals. Giving him a whopping 75% strike rate for those who to bet on first goalscorer.

Jonathan David to score at anytime @ 6/5
