Dermo has a three Ligue 1 selections this week that ammount to an 8/1 Sunday treble
The weekend begins with what should be an open game when Lille host Lyon. PSG will have a number of injuries when they travel to Brest on Saturday after being knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich. Reims travel to Monaco to try keep their manager Will Still’s record breaking run in tact. Second placed Marseille round out the week when Strasbourg visit the Vélodrome.
AC Ajaccio Vs Montpellier
Sun 12th 14:00 GMT
The theme for this weeks bets is the derisory form of the selections opponents. AC Ajaccio have managed 2 wins in their last 10 games but that’s it. They’ve managed to ship 23 goals in those 10 games whilst scoring an abysmal 5 times. Montpellier are in a decent vein of form having won 3 of their last 4 and only conceding once in the process. Michel Der Zakarian is a veteran of Ligue 1 and his influence is working wonders at La Paillade. His new side have been a boom or bust team for a few seasons. He as got them playing consistently whilst integrating the mercurial talents of Teji Savanier and Wahib Kharzi. After scoring 5 last week, an away win is the play here.
Lorient Vs Troyes
Sun 12th 14:00 GMT
Troyes almost managed to pull off a shock win at home to Monaco last week but by the end of the game would have been pleased with a point. ESTAC have been on a dreadful run, with only 2 wins in their past 20 league games. Lorient killed a max bet 2 weeks ago when their hesitancy in front of goal cost them the points. I don’t see a recurrence here. Régis Le Bris will be hot property when the end of season managerial carousel starts rolling and I full expect him to rectify Les Merlus issues in front of goal. Due to the lack of scores I’ll stick with a home win rather than a venture into the handicaps.
Angers Vs Toulouse
Sun 12th 14:00 GMT
With the exception of 2 draws in February, Angers have lost 16 out of their last 18 games. Last week saw them lose 5-0 to Montpellier and during the week manager Abdel Bouhazama was asked to leave for some outrageous comments made in relation to allegations against defender Ilyes Chetti. That may be a blessing in disguise as his record was (W0 D2 L9) since taking over. Toulouse’s form has dipped since a decent run in January. Their away form doesn’t read well at (W3 D1 L8) but they’ve only lost to sides in the top half with the exception of Clermont in week 2. Branco van den Boomen should dictate this game with the away side winning.
