Premier League Tips: Groundhog Day For Everton In This 7/2 Double

LB is back with two Premier League betting tips this weekend as Everton start The Great Escape 2.o.

Everton v Tottenham

I would describe this bet as going back to the well, but that might imply I have picked Everton wins already this season. My record backing the Toffees is poor, but I fancy a big game from Everton today. Dyche’s side have struggled since a loss to Tottenham in December, picking up just two of the last 15 points available. This has seen them slip back into the relegation zone. However, this team does tend to step up when their backs are to the wall and it is close to do or die for them already.

Spurs seem to be settling into a more predictable rhythm after a wild start to the season. However, that rhythm involves missteps when away from London. Postecooglu’s side have one win in their last five away games, and that came against Nottingham Forest.

I expected, or hoped, to see Everton double chance closer to even money than the 4/6 on offer. I do fancy an Everton win and that was nearly 3/1 early in the week. It’s only 2/1 now and that’s a bit tight so I’m going for Draw No Bet at 6/5.

Burnley v Fulham

This next bet is more of a gut feeling than anything else. Neither of these teams can defend at all and goals should not be hard to come by. It is the only Premier League game odds against for Over 2.5 goals and that is reason enough for me to back it. Raul Jiminez will be absent for the visitors, which is a slight concern, but this is basically a bet against the defenses.

Premier League Smart Bets

Everton v Tottenham – Everton Double Chance Win or Draw @ 6/5

Burnley v Fulham – Over 2.5 Goals @ 21/20

The above in a double at 7/2
