Serie A Predictions: A New Man In Charge To Lead Lazio To Victory

Serie A Predictions: A New Man In Charge To Lead Lazio To Victory

This weekend Enzo turns his attention to some of the lower placed teams in Serie A and has two Italian football betting predictions lined up for us.

Monza v Cagliari Prediction

Sat 16th Mar 14:00

Cagliari picked up two priceless wins over their relegation rivals in the past fortnight. The victories over Empoli, which was their first away win of the season, and Salernitana mean that the Isolani are now in 15th place but with only a 2 point cushion between them and the dropzone.

Monza are still in with an outside chance of European football but need to collect as many points as possible if they are to make up the gap between them and Atalanta. Even if that may be a step too far, the motivation to finish inside the top 10 in only their second Serie A season will be high. Raffaele Palladino’s side have only lost once in their last seven (W4 D2 L1) so despite Cagliari recently claiming their first victory on the road, I predict a return to form and a Monza win @ 21/20.

Frosinone v Lazio Prediction

Sat 16th Mar 14:00

My second and final Serie A prediction for the weekend is a Lazio win @ 6/5. Maurizio Sarri officially resigned as head coach last week and former assistant manager,Giovanni Martusciello,  is the man tasked with leading the team. I am a firm believer in the new manager bounce factor and even though the change of personnel is not a big one, I think it will apply here too. Also, Frosinone are in a terrible run of form ( W1 D2 L 10) with just one victory over Cagliari in the last 13 outings.

Serie A Betting Predictions

Monza v Cagliari: Monza win @ 21/20

Frosinone v Lazio: Lazio win @ 6/5

Double @ 5/2

The self-proclaimed Italian Stallion. Our boots on the ground so to speak. TheACCAdemic’s Serie A Supremo. His time as a Roma fan has led him to the “hard to support” end of betting and he is no stranger to tipping an unders bet or a draw. Don’t let that put you off. Week in week out Enzo finds value in Italy by avoiding the big names and ploughing his own furrow. To this day he remains the only man in Ireland to own a jersey with Philippe Mexès on the back.
