Serie A Predictions: Back Goals In This Relegation Six-Pointer

Serie A Predictions: Back Goals In This Relegation Six-Pointer

There are only six games in Serie A this weekend so Enzo is keeping it brief with just two Italian football betting predictions for us.

Frosinone vs Cagliari Prediction

Sun 21t Jan 12:30

My first Serie A betting prediction for this shortened matchday is over 2.5 goals @19/20 in Frosinone v Cagliari. Both sides are well and truly embroiled in the battle for survival so this clash is definitely a “six-pointer”.  These games tend to be either cagey, low-scoring encounters where neither side wants to lose or thrilling affairs where caution is thrown to the wind in search of the three points. My feeling for this one is that it is going to be the latter. Cagliari have been involved in some of the most exciting games this season and Frosinone are not short of firepower with the likes of Soule and Cheddira upfront. The stats also point in this direction. 80% of Frosinone’s home games have seen 3 or more goals scored as have 50% of Cagliari’s away clashes.

Lecce vs Juventus Prediction

Sunday 21 Jan, 2024 20:45

The second Serie A bet I have picked is the classic Juventus win to nil @ 11/8. My motto this season is, ” if in doubt pick Juve to win and lump in the to nil for the value”.  Although the phrasing needs to be refined, the moral contained within is golden and the bet has come good on 10 occasions so far. On Sunday the Bianconeri face Lecce who have exceeded expectations but are by no means a powerhouse. They currently sit in 13th with 21 points and shouldn’t pose much of a threat to the visitors.

His time as a Roma fan has led him to the “hard to support” end of betting and he is no stranger to tipping an unders bet or a draw. Don’t let that put you off.
