Serie A Predictions: Back Juve To Heap Misery On Mazzarri

Serie A Predictions: Back Juve To Heap Misery On Mazzarri

Its a weekend of monumental clashes in Italy and Enzo has three Serie A betting predictions for the biggest fixtures

Juventus v Napoli Prediction

Fri 8th Dec 19:45

Walter Mazzari’s second stint as Napoli manager got off to the perfect start with a 2-1 win over Atalanta in Bergamo. However, the honeymoon period was short lived when the Partenopei suffered a humbling 3-0 home defeat to table toppers Inter last weekend. The loss means Napoli are 11 points adrift of the the summit in 5th place. Defending their Scudetto is now out of the question and Mazzari’s side are in a battle just to finish in the top four.

Juventus on the other hand have a real chance of clinching a 37th league title. Unbeaten in their last nine (W7 D2 L0), the Bianconeri are just two behind Inter and have a four point cushion between them and Milan in third. Allegri’s team might not play the most thrilling brand of football but this campaign, it is proving to be very effective.

All season long, Juventus have been underestimated by the bookies and this weekend it’s no different. Granted this fixture is more like a derby and the intensity of the rivalry adds an air of unpredictability to the game but even so, Juventus win @ 7/5 is too big to pass up on.

Atalanta v AC Milan Prediction

Sat 9th Dec 17:00

Atalanta started the season strongly but in recent weeks things have begun to go downhill . With just one point collected from a possible twelve, La Dea have dropped down to 8th place, four outside the Champions League spots. Injuries and suspensions have played their part in Atalanta’s slide and the situation is getting worse week by week. Scamacca, Toloi, Djimsiti, Zappacosta and Palomino are all unavailable for Saturday leaving Gasperini without his focal point in attack and a makeshift back-line.

Milan too suffered a wobble not long ago when they failed to win in four attempts but back-to-back victories over Frosinone and Fiorentina have got them back on track. The Rossoneri will be further boosted by the return of Olivier Giroud and the news that Rafael Leao could also return this weekend. Even without the Portuguese winger, Milan should have more than enough to beat a depleted Atalanta so AC Milan win @ 19/10 is my second Serie A betting prediction.

Roma v Fiorentina Prediction

Sun 10th Dec 19:45

My final weekend Serie A betting prediction is Over 2.5 goals @ 23/20 in the clash of Roma v Fiorentina. This is by no means a certainty however at the price available it is well worth a shout. Three of Roma’s last four have seen more than three goals scored and the same can be said for 50% of Fiorentina’s last four. On their day, both sides can be electric going forward so lets hope that is the case on Sunday.

For more adventurous punters combining goals with a Roma win is an attractive prospect at 3/1. The Giallorossi have won five on the trot at the Olimpico while Fiorentina have only managed two wins in their previous six outings.

Serie A Betting Predictions

Juventus v Napoli: Juventus win @ 7/5

Atalanta v AC Milan: AC Milan win @ 19/10

Roma v Fiorentina: Over 2.5 goals @ 23/20
