Serie A Predictions: Back A Routine Juventus Win

Enzo was in the money again last weekend and he is back this weekend with three more Serie A betting predictions for Matchday five.

Serie A matchday 4 was another profitable one for the column. Inter comfortably beat Milan in an historic 5-1 thrashing which means they have now won five consecutive derbies in all competitions. Incredibly, Lautaro was not amongst the goalscorers thus denying me a full-house of correct Serie A predictions. Elsewhere, the two dullest teams in the league, Cagliari and Udinese, played out an excruciating 0-0 draw which increased my bank balance but significantly lowered my brain-cell count. Anyway here are my Serie A betting predictions for this weekend’s action.

Sassuolo v Juventus Prediction

Without the added pressure of European football, Juventus have a real chance of claiming their 37th championship title. While their rivals have been hightailing it around the continent, the Bianconeri have had a full week to prepare for the meeting with Sassuolo on Sunday. So far Allegri’s side are unbeaten (W3 D1 L0) and with Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa looking red hot, fears of a repeat of last years debacle have quickly subsided.

It hasn’t been the greatest of starts for Sassuolo. Three defeats and a victory over Verona means the Neroverdi are hovering around the foot of the table. The team will be well and truly rattled after throwing away a 2 goal lead against Frosinone last weekend and if the early signs are anything to go by, Sassuolo fans could be in for a long season. A routine Juventus win @ 5/6 beckons.

Empoli v Inter Milan Prediction

Inter are deservedly top of the Serie A table where they are two points clear of Juventus in second. The Nerazzurri boast a 100% record, have scored 13 goals and only conceded once.

In contrast, Empoli find themselves rock bottom without a single point. The Tuscans have shipped 11 goals and have yet to score themselves.

In a clash like this where the league’s best defence faces off against the leagues worst attack there is only one type of bet to play. Inter win to nil @ 5/4 is the pick.

Bologna v Napoli Prediction

The 2022/23 capocannoniere, Victor Osimhen, started where he left off last season with three goals in his first two starts. The man who fired Napoli to the title with 26 league strikes has since gone two games without finding the net. For a striker of his calibre, this is a major dry spell and three goalless games would be almost unthinkable. However, I can’t see this happening so Victor Osimhen to score anytime @ 21/20 and avoid an unwanted hat-trick is my final Serie A betting prediction for the weekend.
