Serie A Predictions: Put De Ketel On For A Goal

Serie A Predictions: Put De Ketel On For A Goal

Following on from a profitable weekend, Enzo is hoping for more of the same with his two Serie A betting predictions for matchday 25

Genoa v Udinese Prediction

Sat 25th Feb 19:45

Genoa recovered from a slow start to their campaign and they currently sit in 12th, ten points above the relegation zone. Even if there is still a bit to go, it’s more than likely that Alberto Gilardino has achieved his pre-season objective of staying in the top flight. The Grifone have suffered just one defeat in their last ten outings, six of those have ended in a draw.

Udinese are not in as comfortable a position as their opponents. The Zebrette sit in 14th but only have a three point cushion between them and the dangerzone. A surprise victory over Juventus, sandwiched between two draws will give Gabriele Cioffi’s side the belief that they can get something from Saturdays match.

Neither of these teams are particularly adventurous and depending on how you view it, this is their strongest/weakest quality. Personally I see it as a strength and come the end of the season,  that caution and the ability to steal a point might be what saves them. Udinese are the leagues draw specialists with 14 in total while Genoa are tied second with 9. It’s no surprise then that I’m backing the Draw @ 21/10.

AC Milan v Atalanta Prediction

Sun 26th Feb 19:45

My second Serie A betting prediction is for Charles De Ketelaere to score anytime @ 3/1 against his old club. De Ketelaere endured a torrid spell in Milan where he only contributed one assist during the entirety of the 2022/23 season. It was no surprise to see him farmed out on loan to Atalanta where he has since excelled. Free from the pressure of playing at a “big club”, the young Belgian has contributed six goals and the same number of assist so far in the league. This includes three goals in his last three.

Serie A Betting Predictions

Genoa v Udinese: Draw @ 21/10

AC Milan v Atalanta: Charles De Ketelaere anytime scorer @ 3/1

The self-proclaimed Italian Stallion. Our boots on the ground so to speak. TheACCAdemic’s Serie A Supremo. His time as a Roma fan has led him to the “hard to support” end of betting and he is no stranger to tipping an unders bet or a draw. Don’t let that put you off. Week in week out Enzo finds value in Italy by avoiding the big names and ploughing his own furrow. To this day he remains the only man in Ireland to own a jersey with Philippe Mexès on the back.
