Serie A Tips: Back Cremonese To Continue Their Comeback

Serie A Tips: Back Cremonese To Continue Their Comeback

This weekend Enzo is focusing on the foot of the table and has two Serie A selections for the crucial relegation clashes of Sampdoria v Spezia and Udinese v Cremonese

Sampdoria v Spezia

With Verona and Cremonese mounting comebacks, Spezia have been drawn back into the relegation scrap. The Aquilotti have slipped down to 17th and are now just three points above the dropzone. Spezia will view Saturday’s fixture as a real chance to put more distance between them and their relegation rivals. Bottom of the table Sampdoria have only won three times all year and are all but doomed. Goalscoring has been the Blucherciati’s main problem but their defence too is anything but solid and they have only managed one cleansheet in the last eight attempts. If Spezia are to take anything fro the game they will need star striker MBala Nzola to be at his best. The Angolan frontman is tied third in the capocannoniere standings with 13 goals and is a decent price to bag another at the weekend. With that in mind MBala Nzola anytime score @ 9/4 is my first Serie A bet of the weekend.

Udinese v Cremonese

Two wins in a row have given Cremonese new belief that they can in fact beat the drop and stay in Serie A for a second season. A last minute comeback against Sampdoria followed by a battling 1-0 victory against Empoli mean that Cremonese are now seven points from safety. Time however is not on their side and with just eight games left to play, it’s imperative that they take every opportunity to pick up points.

Sunday represents one such chance when La Cremo travel to Udine to take on a side who are safe in mid-table with nothing but pride left to play for. Udinese are winless in three and are a shadow of the side that took the league by storm during the early stages of the campaign. The Zebrette have sorely missed the creativity of Gerard Delofeu so without their creative engine or any goal to strive for, I can’t see them putting up too much of a fight against such hungry opposition. Double chance Draw/Cremonese @ 11/10 is my final Italian football bet of the weekend.

The self-proclaimed Italian Stallion. Our boots on the ground so to speak. TheACCAdemic’s Serie A Supremo. His time as a Roma fan has led him to the “hard to support” end of betting and he is no stranger to tipping an unders bet or a draw. Don’t let that put you off. Week in week out Enzo finds value in Italy by avoiding the big names and ploughing his own furrow. To this day he remains the only man in Ireland to own a jersey with Philippe Mexès on the back.
