Following on from another profitable round of Serie A betting, Enzo hopes to make it three in a row with this weekend’s selections
Sampdoria v AC Milan
Sat 10th Sep 19:45
Milan had a disappointing opening to their Champions League campaign after drawing 1-1 with Salzburg in Austria. However, they have the perfect opportunity to get back on track this Saturday when they face a struggling Sampdoria. Samp are yet to win this season (W0 D2 L3) and have only managed to score twice in five attempts. For their part, Milan are unbeaten and have won two of their five games without conceding. Milan Win to Nil @ 13/8 is my first Serie A bet of the weekend.
Lecce v Monza
Sun 11th Sep 14:00
Monza’s first ever season in Serie A has not exactly gone to plan. Berlusconi’s club are rock bottom without a single point to their name. To be fair to manager Giovanni Stroppa it’s only to be expected that a side with virtually a whole new squad of players will take time to gel and find their rhythm. There were signs though that this might be beginning to happen. In their last outing, away to Atalanta, Monza created some good opportunities before eventually being undone by an own goal and some inexperienced defending.
Lecce are also winless (W0 D2 L3) and are performing as you would expect a team that are the bookies second favourites for relegation. When you compare the two sides, Monza have some genuine quality which is something you cannot really say for Lecce. Sensi, Caprari and Pessina all have the ability to make things happen and are far superior to any player Lecce have in their ranks. I get the feeling that this fixture has been earmarked as the one to kickstart Monza’s season and I think it will too. Monza Win @ 9/4 is the bet.
Sassuolo v Udinese
Sun 11th Sep 14:00
Udinese find themselves in the unfamiliar position of being fourth in the Serie A league table. After losing their opening match Le Zebrette went on a four game unbeaten streak, winning three. Goals have come from all over the pitch. Beto, Pererya, Udogie and Becao have all scored but the man who bagged 13 last season has yet to get off the mark despite contributing three assists. I fancy Gerard Deulofeu to finally break his duck this weekend against a Sassuolo side who look a shadow of the team they were last year. Gerard Deulofeu Anytime Scorer @ 9/4 is my final Italian football pick for the weekend.
Sampdoria v AC Milan: Milan Win to Nil @ 13/8
Lecce v Monza: Monza Win @ 9/4
Sassuolo v Udinese: Gerard Deulofeu Anytime Scorer @ 9/4
