Serie A Tips: Udinese To Get Back On Track

Last weekend was a disappointing one for Enzo but like Udinese, Serie A matchday 12 represents the perfect opportunity for him to get back to winning ways

Lecce v Juventus

Champions League fiasco aside, Juventus have finally begun to string some results together in the championship. The Bianconeri recorded back-to-back wins, against Torino and Empoli, for the first time this season. On Sunday they will have the perfect chance to make it three in a row against a Lecce side who sit in 17th and have just one victory to their name. Curiously, all of Juve’s five wins this campaign have come without conceding a goal.  I fancy more of the same here so Juventus win to nil @ 15/8 is my first Serie A bet of the weekend.

Cremonese v Udinese

Following two credible draws with Lazio and Atalanta, one would have expected Udinese to make light work of a struggling Toro last weekend. However this was not the case and the Zebrette slumped to a shock 2-1 defeat. For Andrea Sottil’s side it was one of those games where no matter how hard they tried nothing would go in. Delofeu and Beto spurned numerous gilt edged opportunities to at least steal a point but just couldn’t seal the deal.

On Sunday Udinese will face bottom of the table Cremonese who have amassed a woeful tally of just 4 points from a possible 33. Normally I wouldn’t back an away side at odds on but an Udinese win @ 5/6 looks like the only realistic outcome even if they only create half as many chances as they did against Torino.

Torino v AC Milan

Sun 30th Oct 19:45

Prior to last weekends heroics in Udine, Torino had failed to win a league match in five attempts. Whether or not the victory marks a turning point for Toro remains to be seen. However, what is certain is that Ivan Juric’s side will be face a stiff test on Sunday evening when Milan come to town. Torino’s only home success (W1 D2 L2) was a 1-0 victory over Lecce whereas Milan are unbeaten on the road (W3 D2 L0). Buoyed by a 4-0 drubbing of Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League, I expect the Rossoneri to continue their fantastic away form in Turin so AC Milan win @ 11/10 is my final Italian football bet of the weekend.

Smart Bets

Lecce v Juventus: Juventus win to nil @ 15/8

Cremonese v Udinese: Udinese win @ 5/6

Torino v AC Milan: AC Milan win @ 11/10
