The All Action Acca: Genoa To Kick Start This 67/1 Fivefold

Each week we combine the best bets from our league specialists and create an acca across The Premier League, EFL, Serie A, Ligue 1 and La Liga.

We have our first full contingent of the new year and our five-fold is paying a monster 67/1. Most of the lads are backing away teams on Saturday, with Dermot picking a home side on Sunday to round out the acca.

Napoli v Genoa

Sat 17th Feb 14:00

Things are going from bad to worse for Napoli and the arrival of Walter Mazzarri as done little to help (W3 D2 L5). In contrast, Genoa are going from strength to strength after a poor start to the campaign. The Grifone’s first defeat in nine games (W3 D5 L1) came last week courtesy of in-form Atalanta. Gilardino’s side have a decent record against the big teams and should prove to be more than a handful for Napoli on Saturday. They have beaten both Roman clubs and taken points from Inter and Juventus so Draw/Genoa Double Chance @ 11/8 looks like an excellent price.

Colchester v Accrington

Sat 17 Feb 15:00

Gaz has made some juicy EFL projections and Accrington to win on the road is the pick of the bunch. Although Colchester have improved in recent weeks, their form is still dire with eight losses in their last thirteen games. Accrington on the other hand are pretty consistent and were impressive in beating promotion-chasing AFC Wimbledon midweek. Accrington don’t need to be at their best to win here and at 9/5 an away victory looks a great bet.

Fulham v Aston Villa

Sat 17 Feb 15:00

Aston Villa have hit a bit of a rut and the impressive dismantling of City and Arsenal in December feels like a distant memory. However, LB expects them to have too much for Fulham, who are struggling for form themselves. The Cottagers have one win in seven (W1 D3 L3) and they are struggling for consistency in front of goal. At odds- against Villa are too a price to ignore.

Celta Vigo v Barcelona

Sat 17 Feb 17:30

Celta Vigo are drifting towards the drop zone and should not be able to put up much resistance against an even out-of-sorts Barca. The announced departure of Xavi has not had the desired galvanizing effect and despite scoring plenty Barcelona are conceding far too easily. Savage expects an open game but one that the visitors ultimately win.

Montpellier Vs Metz

Sun Feb 18th 14:00

Montpellier are playing better than their bare form suggestions, which is good because their form is poor. Luckily, Metz’s form is even worse. In fact, it is objectively dire (W0 D1 L8). Dermot tells us to back to the home team in a battle between two out-of-sorts sides, especially as Metz have lost some recent “must win” games.  The visitors lack any sort of mental resistance and will likely fall victim to an efficient and dangerous La Paillade counterattack.
