The All Action ACCA: A 38/1 Weekend Five Fold

Each week we combine the best bets from our league specialists and create an acca across The Premier League, EFL, Serie A, Ligue 1 and La Liga.

Fulham v Brentford

Sat 19 Aug 3:00 pm

Fulham were quite lucky to escape Goodison with a win last week. Everton possess one of the league’s least impressive forward lines and yet they managed to rack up 19 shots against The Cottagers (with 9 shots on target and an xG of 2.7). Stats do not always paint an accurate reflection of a football match but in this case, they do. Brentford are a far more efficient team and I expect them to score more than once. Brentford To Win and Over 1.5 Goals at 11/5 is the bet.

Accrington Stanley v Harrogate

Sat 19 Aug 3:00 Pm

After a positive opening day win over Doncaster Harrogate’s form has taken a turn for the worse. Back-to-back losses, the latest a 3-0 drubbing by Tranmere in midweek means another relegation battle looks on the cards for the Yorkshiremen. They have another tough assignment this Saturday as they travel to face a decent Accrington side. Having dropped down from League One, Stanley’s results have been mixed (W1, D1, L1), but they’ve had a tough run to begin their campaign. The loss to table-topping Gillingham and a draw with second-placed Barrow might not age badly. This looks like an easier task and I’m banking on a home win.

Stade Reims v Clermont Foot

Sun 20 Aug 2:00 pm

Reims were unlucky to lose to Marseille last week and it bodes well for the rest of the season. Folarin Balogun’s goals will be missed but the squad has more depth than last season. Junya Ito was exceptional last week and should have more joy against what looks like a porous Clermont defence. Les Lanciers were tough to break down last season but conceded 4 to Monaco last week. In that game they were torn asunder on the counter attack and down the flanks, an area where Will Still’s side greatest attacking strength lies.

Lecce v Lazio

Sun 20th Aug 19:45

Last season’s runners up take on one of this season’s relegation favourites at the Via del Mare. Not a whole lot has changed for either side except for Lazio’s Milinkovic Savic being seduced by the Saudi Riyal and hightailing to Al Hilal. Japanese international Daichi Kamada, along with other exciting young prospects, have arrived to fill the hole so I see know reason why Sarriball won’t be in full swing right from the get-go. Lazio win @ 21/20 is the bet.

Real Betis v Atlético Madrid

Sun 20 Aug 20:30

Atleti got themselves off to a flyer when they comfortably dispatched Granada 3-1 in the first round. Memphis Depay opened his account with an absolute rocket from a long way out that could already be a Goal of the Season contender. Los Rojiblancos will need a substantial amount of production from both him and his strike partner Morata if they are to break the top two this time around. A 95th-minute Willian José goal secured the 3 points for Los Verdiblancos in round 1 against a resolute Villarreal side. However, the hosts have an extremely poor recent record against Madrid. No wins in their last 6 outings (D1 L5) is a poor return for a top side like Betis. Continuing on from where they left off last season, Atlético should probably just about shade this one.

The All Action Acca:

Fulham v Brentford – Brentford To Win and @ 13/8

Accrington Stanley v Harrogate – Accrington Stanley To Win @ 11/10

Stade Reims v Clermont Foot – Reims To Win @ 4/5

Lecce v Lazio – Lazio To Win @ 21/20

Real Betis v Atlético Madrid – Atlético Madrid To Win @ Evens

Back the above in an acca @ 38/1
